 Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin

The song Stairway to Heaven, is one of mystery and confusion. There are so many theories of what the meaning behind the song is about, yet will we truly know? No. But here is the closest and least crazy theory of what the meaning of the lyrics are: The song "is everything but a perverse ode to evil and darkness. In fact, it’s quite the opposite, a splendid message of solidarity, brotherhood and equality". 

His message essentially being that we really can come together.

But for the song itself, it was one of the first of it's kind. It starts out slow with a soft melody and then transitions into the rock and roll. Now this song is eight minutes so this transition takes a while. But by the time it hits the electric guitar solo, that is when you feel the rock come to earth. I really enjoyed listening to the mix of slow to hard rock. I also enjoyed that the song has a deep reflection with the lyrics. It gives you a better reason why to like the song and the artist for the message they portray, not just the beat.
