 "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder.

Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of the Bud Light Super Bowl football commercial that played this song. Shows the impact that advertisement has. It also says how catchy this song is. His voice and the saxophone accompanied by the trumpet play are really good, but nothing out of the ordinary. What really caught my attention was the play of the Hohner Clavinet. It has a very unique sound which makes this song so catchy. After researching this instrument, it is not a very popular instrument. Not to insult any piano playing experts but to my understanding, its a version of the electric keyboard. The Hohner Clavinet is an electrically amplified clavichord.

As for the lyrics, he discusses the different superstitions people choose to believe in. Wonder refers in the song to make us believe he doesn't believe in any superstitions and even discourages it. "When you believe in things That you don't understand, Then you suffer, Superstition aint the way". He mentions superstitions such as the unlucky number thirteen, walking underneath ladders, seven years of bad luck. Don't think there was an inspired thought process behind the lyrics but just fit the tune. Yet who cares, it ended up being a #1 hit!
